Who should complete this course?

Regulations state that all food handlers must receive appropriate training in food safety practices relevant to their duties. Having a good understanding of food safety practices is not only a legal requirement, but it is also essential in protecting the health of both consumers and food handlers.

This online Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those working, or planning to work, in the food catering industry. It is also ideal for those who come into contact with food handling areas due to the nature of their work.

Course Duration

Approx five hours.

Assessment and Certification

QualSafe has devised e-Learning for this qualification. Learners must complete the e-Learning course first, in their own time, and then book to attend a 45 minute regulated assessment session which consists of a multiple choice question paper invigilated by St John Ambulance. The certificate is valid for three years.

Additional information

Once enrolled, you will have 28 days to complete the online learning and in-person assessment. Upon confirmation of booking, you will be emailed a link to access the e-learning, which you can complete in your own time. You do not need to complete all the modules in one sitting.
