Course Description

Overview

In the UK, one person suffers a heart attack every two minutes but the majority could be saved if their heart was shocked back into rhythm. We passionately believe in improving AED access because it has been proven to save lives.

St John Ambulance offers a complete solution to your AED requirements, and can provide:

  • AED equipment
  • Installation
  • Supply of consumables
  • Warranty
  • Further refresher training.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency first aid skills, or who takes part in an organised first aid scheme. For health care workers, this course serves as a basic module.

What will you learn?

An AED (automated external defibrillator) in the workplace is an invaluable addition to health and safety provision for your employees as they are proven to save lives. With installation of any AED we highly recommend you train personnel in its usage.

No previous first aid knowledge is necessary to attend an AED course. Our course teaches the essential skills required by an AED operator and gives students the confidence to know what to do in an emergency.

Organisations that wish to train staff in CPR and AED on their own premises can also add oxygen therapy to their workplace training package.
