St John Ambulance is looking for sessional trainers to join the team delivering first aid and health and safety courses at our Douglas Training Centre and at customers premises.

As a Trainer at St John Ambulance, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing a
variety of First Aid and Health & Safety training courses to our workplace and community
training customers. The main requirement is to train our 1,2 and 3-day first aid courses, but we
are also the country’s leading provider of Fire Marshal and IOSH Managing Safely training as
well as fast becoming a major player in mental health and wellbeing courses.

All our trainers deliver the first aid suite and for that we need candidates to have a level 3
assessing and teaching/training qualification (such as CiLD).

We offer a flexible working arrangement allocating sessions by mutual agreement.
We are looking for someone with training experience, a friendly and flexible approach and
excellent interpersonal skills. Basic Knowledge of first aid is essential. Additional subject training
will be available as needed.
