Head of St John Ambulance Isle of Man

The current holder of this position, Mr John P Gill KStJ is nearing the end of his term of office and the Priory of England and the Islands are looking to appoint a person to take on this important role as Head of St John Ambulance on the Isle of Man.

The role takes responsibility for the success of the Order’s charitable mission in the Isle of Man and beyond, and includes being the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Commandery Guarantee Company, chairing all Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings of the Company.

Having responsibility for ensuring outstanding corporate governance of the organisation and that the company complies with its Memorandum and Articles of Association. As Head of the organisation, the Dame or Knight Commander ensures all members look to them for leadership.

To promote St John Ambulance Isle of Man ensuring the recruitment of exemplary directors designating responsibilities that match their abilities. To ensure that the Charity has a high profile and the population realise how important it is to the wellbeing of the Island.
