Islands and Commanderies Cadet of the Year 2023 – 2024

A huge congratulations to Cadet Corporal Molly Duckworth of Foxtrot Cadets on being appointed the Islands and Commanderies Cadet of the Year
Over the weekend of 17th -19th February, 36 Cadets from all the regions of UK and the Islands met at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham to compete to become the National Cadet of the Year or the Islands and Commanderies Cadet of the Year.
During the weekend the Cadets were tested in their First Aid skills, presentation abilities and sat an interview in front of a panel consisting of the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Commissioner. Throughout the weekend all the Cadets were continually assessed on the key attributes required to become a Cadet of the Year such as their confidence, teamwork and social interactions.
At the end of the weekend 1 National Cadet of the Year was appointed, 8 Regional Cadets and 1 Islands and Commanderies Cadet of the Year.
Molly will represent the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and Northern Ireland at events throughout the year as well as being a Member Of the National Youth Forum.
