St John Ambulance is proud to launch two new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) — the HEART One and HEART Two.

These semi-automatic defibrillators combine St John Ambulance’s lifesaving expertise with easy-to-use technology, making them the most reliable and affordable choice for workplaces, schools, and communities who want to protect the people that matter most.

In those critical first few moments in a cardiac emergency, a first aider needs to act fast and with confidence.

HEART One (£699 ex VAT)

The St John Ambulance HEART One semi-automatic defibrillator is a cutting-edge AED for adults and children, combining compactness, robustness, reliability, and affordability. Manufactured to be used by anyone in an emergency, the HEART One is the ideal solution for the workplace, schools, community centres, or anywhere a reliable defibrillator is needed for laypeople.

Core Features & Ease of Use

• Semi-Automatic Design: This AED will immediately analyse the casualty and instruct the rescuer when a shock is required. The rescuer then simply presses a button to deliver the shock, providing more control for those who prefer it over fully automatic models.
• Intuitive Guidance: A single power button activates the clear voice instructions. LED lights within featured pictograms guide the user on proper pad placement and crucial CPR steps.
• Built to Last: To complement its portability, the HEART One works in tough conditions (rated IP55), offering high resistance against dust, water, as well as drops from 1.5 metres. The HEART One self-tests daily with visual and audible indicators to monitor the device, electrodes, and the battery.

Even on a low battery reserve, there is enough power to provide at least 30 shocks or 2 hours of monitoring; ruling out the scenario of it suddenly cutting off in the middle of a rescue.

HEART Two (£899 ex VAT)

The St John Ambulance HEART Two semi-automatic defibrillator is the second in the line-up, featuring all the capabilities of the HEART One while offering an even richer guidance experience for the rescuer.

Perhaps the most notable difference is the upgrade in its display. The HEART Two touts a 5-inch LCD bright colour display, showing animated illustrations and text prompts to complement the voice instructions. This greatly benefits the rescuer, whether they are in a loud or quiet environment, as they can take advantage of the audio and visual coaching.

To maximise accessibility, the HEART Two can be configured with up to three languages that can be seamlessly toggled with a language button. Once pressed, the guidance on the screen will be instantly changed to accommodate the rescuer — key for bilingual communities or international workplaces.
