February Newsletter

Welcome to this months The Pulse Newsletter from St John Ambulance IOM!
As we dive into 2025, it’s the perfect moment to set our sights on the year ahead and prepare for whatever comes our way. This is an ideal time to get organised, so we encourage you to:

• Update your First Aid Fast app
• Check the validity of your certificates
• Ensure your first aid supplies are up-to-date

Let’s make 2025 a year of readiness and resilience!

Our volunteers go from strength to strength
This month, 16 volunteers from across the island have successfully qualified in our new Community First Aider course, with another 11 volunteers set to qualify by the end of the month.
Without our exceptional volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to provide first aid cover at events around the island, including ballroom dancing, cross country, football, The Gaiety Theatre, half-marathons, motocross, the TT and MGP, and many more.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to enhance your CV, meet new people, and acquire incredible, lifesaving skills. Whatever your interests, wherever you are on the island, and however much time you can give, we have a variety of volunteer roles to suit you, including First Aider, Fundraiser, Youth Leader, and many more!
Interested in joining our team of volunteers?

Check Your Kit

Now is an ideal time to check if your first aid supplies are as ready as you are to tackle the year ahead. Are your defibrillator batteries working? Do you know if your first aid kit is fully stocked? Have you checked the expiration dates for your supplies?

It only takes a few minutes to check your stock and order new supplies if you need them. In a first aid emergency, it is vital that your supplies are ready and reliable in order to work effectively to help save lives.

You can place your order by calling +44 1624 674387 to discuss your requirements or complete our Order Form.

Have you used your skills since completing your course? If so, we would love to hear about it!

At St John Ambulance we are always interested in finding out how people use their skills once they leave our courses, and we use your stories to show others the importance of our training.
